I live in Indonesia. There are severals of TV broadcasts right now. The official government TV broadcast and commercial TV broadcasts. There were only 4 broadcasts at that moment, so it was called 4 in 1 antenna, because by using only one, it could be covered all of the broadcasts.Usually the antenna using 2 combination of UHF and VHF antennas, but this antenna only one. I built one and still used it until now for my Averfun-TV card. Here is the prototype design.
First, prepare the sheet of steel grid, usually used for chicken coop or windows cover. Find a good one, like the hole width 2 mm. Cut it about 52 cm x 38 cm.
Make a cover frame around the steel grid sheet. The material may varied, eg: aluminum plate (0.5 ~ 1 mm), plastic material or PVC is ok. The width about 1 ~ 2 cm. If aluminum is used, the frame can be joined using rivets, and if plastic type is used, it can be joined using PVC glue.
This step may be the most difficult part. Make a receiver from aluminum plate and 2 pieces of PVC T joiner like the above figure.
The dimension is about strictly firm. Do exactly like that. Or you may take an aproximation round. The dimension of the hole can be estimated from the length of T joiner. Don't forget to cut off the front T joiner.
After everythings done, put it together by using 3mm or 4mm bolt and nut. Careful, don't forget to tie the cable aso. the cable soldered at a piece of copper. You can put it in the back (outside) T joiner, or if it can, it's better to put it inside. So the cable can be put along the PVC pipe. Joint both the T joiner but with the opposite direction. One horizontally and the other vertically.
Put the receiver part at the center of the frame. Assemble a length of PVC pipe for the support. My prototype about 1.5 m length. Now it is ready to used. You can put the antenna at the strategic location, as can be seen at below figure.
