Its an constant temperature process .there are in four process
- Two isentropic process
- two iso-thermal process
Process (1-2):
§ It is an adiabatic reversible process.
§ In the process there is no heat rejected and added
§ Volume decreases and pressure increases.
§ Temperature constant(T=C)
Process (2-3):
§ It is an iso-thermal process.
§ In the process heat added
§ Volume increases and pressure constant
§ Temperature decreases, entropy constant(s=c)
§ QS =(T3-T2)
Process (3-4):
§ It is an adiabatic reversible process.
§ In the process heat rejected
§ Volume increases and pressure decreases.
§ Temperature constant
Process (4-1):
§ It is an iso-thermal process.
§ In the process heat rejected
§ Volume increases and pressure constant
§ Temperature increases, entropy constant(s=c)
§ Qr =(T4-T1)
Work done (w) =heat supplied (Qs)-heat rejected (Qr)
. = (T3-T2) = (T4-T1)
Efficiency of Carnot (ή) =work done /heat supplied
= (T3-T2) -(T4-T1)/ (T3-T2)
